MY STORY
Hello, I’m Yu.
I was born in 1998 in a Chinese family, and today, I’m a designer.
I’ve loved drawing since I was a child.
My desk was always covered with pencils, markers, and worn sketchbooks. I used to capture the world around me—flowers outside the window, cats on the street, or entire imagined worlds that existed only in my mind.
Sometimes, I would cut, glue, and fold cardboard into small models and place them in the corners of my room. Turning an idea into something tangible has always been magical to me.
As I grew older, I realized that behind this passion was the seed of design.
To me, design has never been just about making things look beautiful—it’s about solving real problems.
I pay attention to the small details in daily life:
Is the handle of a coffee cup comfortable? Is a light switch placed where it should be? Can a space guide movement in a natural flow?
Every time I notice something that could be better, it’s an opportunity to rethink and improve.
In my work, function, experience, and aesthetics are all important—but function always comes first.
If a design only exists on the surface, it’s not truly complete.
